Caution! Due to inherent human biases, it may seem that reports on articles aligning with our views are crafted by opponents. Conversely, reports about articles that contradict our beliefs might seem to be authored by allies. However, such perceptions are likely to be incorrect. These impressions can be caused by the fact that in both scenarios, articles are subjected to critical evaluation. This report is the product of an AI model that is significantly less biased than human analyses and has been explicitly instructed to strictly maintain 100% neutrality.
Nevertheless, HonestyMeter is in the experimental stage and is continuously improving through user feedback. If the report seems inaccurate, we encourage you to submit feedback , helping us enhance the accuracy and reliability of HonestyMeter and contributing to media transparency.
Using positive, value-laden framing that subtly promotes an actor’s image rather than strictly reporting neutral facts.
Phrases such as: - "reinforcing its commitment to youth development through sport." - "The Sanmerna Foundation said the initiative forms part of its wider mission to empower young people across Jamaica by investing in education, sport, and community development." - "aims to create opportunities for youth to grow both on and off the field, using sport as a pathway to discipline, teamwork, and personal achievement." These statements are not false or extreme, but they echo the foundation’s own mission language and frame it in a consistently positive, almost promotional way. There is no alternative perspective (e.g., broader context on corporate philanthropy, or whether there are any limitations or challenges), so the piece functions partly as a soft PR item.
Attribute value-laden statements more explicitly and separate them from the reporter’s voice, for example: "According to the Sanmerna Foundation, the donation is intended to reinforce its commitment to youth development through sport."
Balance the promotional tone by adding neutral context, such as: "The foundation has made similar donations to other schools in recent years" or basic data on its programmes, instead of repeating mission-style language.
Avoid generalized aspirational claims unless supported by evidence, e.g. change "aims to create opportunities for youth to grow both on and off the field" to a more concrete description like "The foundation runs programmes in X schools, providing equipment and support to approximately Y students."
- This is an EXPERIMENTAL DEMO version that is not intended to be used for any other purpose than to showcase the technology's potential. We are in the process of developing more sophisticated algorithms to significantly enhance the reliability and consistency of evaluations. Nevertheless, even in its current state, HonestyMeter frequently offers valuable insights that are challenging for humans to detect.
